  12. I personally am not inconvenienced by the new scheme, but on the other hand
  13. there's nothing wrong with old stuff that works.  I assume that it will still
  14. be possible to recompile the kernel with fixed units as desired.

  16. Maybe someone who's seriously motivated will figure out a way to have
  17. loadbsd slip in a table of manufacturer IDs and units, for advisory
  18. purposes during configuration.  It would have to be pretty slick, but
  19. if it were also good for swap and root partition configuration, it might
  20. sell.
